Nota: A l’hora de representar el sublim de la naturalesa, la pintura occidental\u00a0 podem tenir escenes com el caminant en la boira<\/a>, on la figura humana \u00e9s dominant, el monjo a la platja<\/a>, on ja queda m\u00e9s petit- A la pintura xinesa<\/a>, la petitesa dels humans respecte el paisatge \u00e9s molt accentuada, tal com diu Lin Yutang a The Importance of Living (1937): Nature is itself always a sanatorium.
