Característiques de les tonalitats

(CGAPT) A banda de major i menor (natural, harmònica i melòdica), les tonalitats tindrien associat un determinat caràcter emocional:

Majors

  • C Major: Pure, simple, and joyful. Often seen as a neutral or “default” key, expressing innocence or straightforwardness.
  • D Major: Triumphant, victorious, and majestic. Often associated with glory and grandeur, particularly in orchestral works.
  • E Major: Bright, bold, and confident. Often used for energetic or uplifting music.
  • F Major: Warm, pastoral, and calm. Associated with gentleness or rustic simplicity.
  • G Major: Cheerful, optimistic, and lively. Often used for spirited or lighthearted music.
  • A Major: Joyful, open, and positive. Used for bright, warm expressions, often evoking a sense of celebration.
  • B-flat Major: Noble, grand, and serene. Often associated with a sense of resolution or nobility.

Menors
